I picked up a like new Clark Customized Belgian mfg (1971) Browning Hi-Power today. It has a BOMAR heavy sight rib and shark tooth textured front strap and back strap. Have any of you seen one of these? Value?

Yup great shooter you found there. The gunsmith is Jim Clark. It wears his old marks from Shreveport, La. Their new stuff shows Princeton, La.

That front grip work down here in South Louisiana is called the gator grip or tiger tooth grip.

The sights, are you sure that's not and Aristocrat rib? I'd love to see more details of the front and rear sight itself.

Most likely, that gun was built for PPC use...

It is a BoMar marked adjustable sight rib. I send Clark Custom an email on Friday, hopefully I will get a pistol history next week.

Nice find. The Bo-Mar rib is out of production and worth a few bucks by itself. BHP prices are all over the place, but a Clark gun with a verifiable history is worth some money to a collector. My rough guess is $800-$900 to the right buyer.

Yeah, BoMar closed shop about 4 years ago: http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0BTT/is_3_33/ai_n31479937/.

I don't know of anyone who has picked up the torch after the Korzeniewskis.

I hope you paid a lot for it, I would hate to hear yet another story of someone getting a nice gun like that for $500. :D

Congratulations on a really nice pistol whatever the cost.

I traded a like new CZ75 TS 9mm for it & the shop threw in a new Ruger LC9. I gave the LC9 to my son as a B-day gift; he is a Staff Sgt in the Army Reserves and now a student at WSU.

I used to have a Clark Pin Gun (Colt) back in the early 90's that I let slip away.

Plain old BHPs go for $6-800 new around here, but your gun was tuned by one of the finest pistolsmiths of the 20th century.

I owned two Clark 45s back in my bullseye days, and shot several others. Clarks of that era tend to be superbly made and plainly finished, with internal upgrades that make them very accurate. The barrel on that gun is probably a BarSto, and it probably has a trigger like a wish.

I'd bet that gun would bring close to $1,200 from someone who knows truly fine autopistols.

Wow. That gun store employee basically gave you that thing for free. Did he offer to polish your shoes too?

Congrats on a great find. That's one to pass down to the grandkids.

I have a Bomar Heavy rib on my grandfathers 1911 he used at Camp Perry matches many years ago. Where can I find more info on the above mentioned sight?

BTW, beautiful HP!
