Info on 6520

I'm new here, but not new to AR's or firearms in general. Been lurking for a while, and finally decided to post. Recently, I listed a Bobcat SP89 online for sale, and have been contacted by someone who is interested in trading a 6520 for it. I'm curious if anyone here could give me an idea what it is worth. I assume it's in the $1000 ballpark, if it's in decent condition. I picked the Bobcat up with the intent to flip it since I got it at a steal. Question is, what would you do? I have other AR's (LMT), but no Colt.

Depends on condition of the 6520. If it is like new then yes it is a good trade. There were some LE trade in 6520s recently sold that went for just under $800. If the 6520 is a low mileage gun and in good shape I would do the trade.

For what it's worth, I paid $1000 for a 6520 about a year ago. The deal included two 20-rd Colt mags, two 30-rd GI mags, a sling, and a soft case.

It's a damned good rifle, and I plan on keeping it, even though I recently picked up a new 6933.
