You don't understand. Most of those people buy cigarettes, lottery tickets, booze, candy bars, etc. with food stamps. Anything they get away with. Especially in southern Ohio.

I don't know what the rules are in other states, but in Oregon you can't by any of those things except the candy bar (don't really see the big deal on spending .89 on a piece candy but opinions are like assholes right?)

What I heard from a FS recipient is that they only have to reapply every six months and there is virtually no validation. Once you qualify it would be easy to stay on for quite some time.

A couple with 1-2 kids gets about $500/mo for food stuff. They couldn't eat that much. Stupid thing is they could only buy smaller containers of things like peanut butter rather than a larger more economic size for a family.

The lottery winner may have another source of income and still getting food stamps, or is trading FS or food for cash or tickets, etc.

The scam is you have money for all that stuff because you don't have to buy food.

You can buy Red Bull and energy drinks on EBT cards. I've seen it with my own two eyes.

And it looks like DHS cutt off her benefits. She probably could have flown under the radar for years if she didn't brag about it.

Well she does have 2 houses. If I had 2 houses and no income I would expect the gov to hand out some of their excess cash to me too....One can only imagine the tragedy it would be if she had 3 houses.
