Is that your bear gun? I'm in AK too. I carry mine in a Safariland 6004 when I'm rucking it. If I'm fly fishing I use a Galco Miami Classic.

Its my all around Alaska outdoor & hunting pistol.. Bears, back up when using the bow, that sort of thing. I carry a .44 mag in one of those Alaskan Chest Holsters, but its a slow pull out even with practice.. Be nice to have both when weight does not matter. :)

Any pics of your Safariland set up? Have been eying the 6305....

Also using a Safariland 6004 with it adjusted so it falls just below my jacket. Works great for XC Skiing here in MT. For warmer weather hiking I use a Galco Combat Master or Comp-Tac MTAC.

It finally arrived... Almost 90 days..

Due to the long wait I have the below:
Safariland Model 6305 (For non-backpack hunts and the ATV)
JM Custom Kydex OWB Holster w/ 2 Mag Pouch (winter CC in AK)
Hills People Gear Kit Bag (For hunting / hiking with pack)
Lone Wolf Drop in barrel
5 Magazines

Hoping to break it in this weekend...

I had a iwb holster made by a local holster maker. Don't really carry it so I don't have that good of advice in that field. Personally I wish I had the sf version but it wasn't out when I got mine. The 20 is a nice gun either way though. A friend liked mine so much he got a 29fs.
