View Full Version : mounting fsb right behind flash hider?
I have a gov profile 16" with a 13" alpha and I want to mount an A2 fsb (clamp or pinned) do they make an A2 fsb that has a tighter diameter on the rear loop to fit the diameter of the notch right behind the flash hider?
This is an irons only rifle and I don't want a rail mounted front sight.

I see that armalite has a clamp style, does anyone know if it will tighten down solid on the taper before the flash hider?
Sounds like you want a "Kino" configuration.
I would get the front of the barrel profiled for a .625" front sight and have it pinned on if you want it barrel mounted.
Why don't you want a rail mounted front sight?

I have the armalite FSB for my irons/limited 3-gun rifle.
Not sure of your exact barrel diameter. I have the BCM SAM-R 20 inch barrel. It probably would have clamped to the slightly reduced portion directly behind the comp just fine, but I went ahead and added some shim stock. It clamps down rock solid.
