I'm testing the Arms Tech USR a Gas Trap design. (Joe just picked up a big mil contract for the Compak16 so he's putting off offering these to the public) but we are working on him.
I find the Gas Trap design is best for full power loads and it runs all day with M855 and M193.
I'm testing with other loads and was pleased to find the Winchester USA 62 grain shoots very well. As does the S&B M193 5.56 load.
This is a 50 meter zero and a Police Marksman will probably never have to adjust the sights since the average shot is 47 meters.
Bottom is the Winchester bullet, 10 rounds in under and inch. The middle is the S&B at exactly an inch. The top is a handload using Lapua brass and Berger bullets.

Schwing......:D

If the mil ever gets around to performing a series of tests for M4 replacements, I'd love to see the ArmsTech tossed into the mix.

That may be happening. Joe got a big contract, he gave an unknown number to a SF team in A-Stan and they won't return them.:D
I want him to have a line that he will sell to civies. Big bucks but a lifetime buy.
For re-loading though you have to go hot.

I know the Compak-16's are 9.5" barrels, and your USR is 14.5", correct?

Does Joe offer anything inbetween?

Have you chrono'd your USR? What kind of velocities are you getting? Do you have a weight on that, sans scope?

I think he has an 11.5. He's supposed to call tonight and I'll ask.
