I am going to get a keltec p32.
Since it is a pocket gun, I need it to be fairly corrosion resistant.
How much better is a hard chrome finish versus parkerizing in this regard? The price difference is basically negligible.

Hard chrome has far greater corrosion resistance than parkerizing.
I've got a blued Kel-Tec PF9. I take it on sweaty salty fishing trips, or when I just want cheap gun to check in my luggage for theft-proofing: that is, this it the gun that I don't care so much if it falls overboard or gets stolen.
When it rusts ("when" being the key word) I rub it down with 0000 steel wool and some oil. It still works.

Your money but I wouldn't worry about it. It's a Kel-tec. I have one and it's a great little gun to have when you can't really carry a gun or on a business trip.
If you need to refinish a few other firearms let me recommend using alumahyde 2. Works great holds on well and is cheap.
Parkerizing offers really, very little in the way of corrsion protection, hard chrome is much better, but it too has a point of failure...
I think the NP3 type stuff is better than hard chrome.
