Surefire L1 ?

I recently acquired two Surefire L1s, one directly from Surefire and one was given to me as a gift. The one directly from SF has a crystal clear lens and the one from an unknown vender looks to have some sort of coating/opaqueness to it when viewed at an angle. It almost looks like hairspray was sprayed evenly onto the lens. Anyone know if Surefire changed the lens or is it defective?

got my L1 in front of me and no weird looking lens on mine.

Call SF - ask them.

Thanks guys. I checked them side by side and the frosted one does have a little smoother beam. I was a little confused b/c I'm used to the incan lamps with the stippled reflector and not frosted lens. :)
