Marine to be Reunited with Working Dog

It looks like Cpl Megan Leavey has won her petition to adopt her former partner and military working dog Sgt Rex.

At one point Rex was facing the needle, so it sounds like this will be a happy ending. I guess even Senator Schumer gets it right once in a while as it appears that he played a role in making it happen.

I was hoping that would happen, it's good that Sgt Rex will spend the rest of his life with his former handler, and not be put down.

I am also glad to see Senator Schumer actually doing someone useful. But as my grandfather used to say "Even a blind pig finds a few acorns."
