Interested to know as well.

Generally, one would think that having a lamp with a good light output (lumens) is indicative of a good throw/long distance illumination. A flashlight with superior beam-forming glass will have a significantly greater illumination distance than a flashlight that has higher lumens but inferior beam-forming optic. I am under the impression that Surefire lights have superior optics.

Thanks for the info..I know Surefire has great lights but also know that just because it may be 120L or 200L an increase in light output maynot make any different in distance.I have a KAC Sr-25 EMC that I use for hunting hogs and looking for a light that reaches around 150 yards.
