I am looking for a good durable folding stock for my express. I have a UBR on it now, but want to make it more compact. Doesn't need a great cheek wield on it, but nothing thats gonna rip my face off either. Recoil isn't a huge issue; my main concern is the compactness of the weapon. my weapon's OL is 30" because I just got my tax stamp back and my weapon is now registered. I would like to put this in my maxpedition sitka gearslinger . thanks in advance.

Yes, something similar to that. Do you have any experience with that stock. is it reliable, durable etc. ?

I have no experience with this stock. I prefer to use the conventional stock on my shotgun. You can Google this stock and get reviews on it and also check YouTube.

I have a Knoxx Copstock folder, which is an earlier version of the Knoxx Specops stock that 3AE linked, on my 12" 870 SBS. It's the best of all the folding stocks I've tried on it (ATI top folder, Choate side and top folders) but that's not saying much. There's some up/down wobble and the cheek weld sucks because it's just two thick pieces of plastic covered wire. If the 870 SBS were anything more than a range toy, I'd use a fixed stock, but I've got another 870 to fill that role.

I really wish someone would make a collapsible stock for the 870 in the style of a Benelli M4 collapsible stock.

I use the Sage TS870R adjustable stock.

I like it, some of the 870s that were in service when I was in had them.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I also have a 12" barrel and would like to see how that stock looks on your weapon. I dont believe in range toys, lol. The wobble may or may not be an issue depending on how bad it is. Let me know how bearable it is and post a pic.

I have done some research on this stock and people are saying that it has a very solid construction. Is this true? Dont quote me on this, but I think that stock was part of the 870 MCS package at one time. Also, where can I purchase that stock.

One of the senior instructors at my last job had an 870 with that Sage stock on it. Used to use it for high-risk warrant service sim training of local LE. Cant tell you where to get it, but I can say that it is built like a brick shithouse. Lockup is not perfectly solid, a little play back and forth but such is the price you pay for a stock of this style and you wont notice it under stress. Keep in mind that you sacrifice any side saddle with it.

The USMC had some of these stocks many years ago. It is extremely solid, mine is the all steel version. It is comfortable enough shooting drills I don't notice a big difference in felt recoil from other stocks. I do know that I am not a big fan of the versions with the M4 style stock.

I purchased mine direct from Sage.

The wobble isn't terrible, but it is there.

I have a 12" Wilson Combat Remington 870 with a Knoxx Reduced recoil Spec-Ops stock.
The Knoxx Spec-Ops stock is what I would go with. But that's JMHO.:D

Which 870 model was the base gun for the wilson combat 870? Can you post a pic?
