This system works but here is a small issue I found and was sent to Daniel Defense and Stag Arms at the beginning of this month. So I am not bashing at all. This is educational for us all to learn from ok.

This was a learning curve for me and the smith that did the work. The pictures at the time of being taken; the Stag lower was at JP Rifles getting there JP Fire Control System with Speed Hammer and Over Size Pins installed. So I a Armalite lower for picture taking only.

First off here is a Armalite 15A4CBA2 upper with a JP 16" Mid length BBL installed with a DD 9.0 light rail and my Stag-15L Model 3L Pre-Ban DD 7.0 rail side by side.

See the bolt at the 10 o'clock location?

This bolt had to be turned down in size so the Ejection Cover Hinge Pin has clearance for a proper fit and finish.

This is a small issue but you must know this if these are the parts you need for your build.

Hope this helps some.

Very nice set up. I'm a lefty and i used to have the exact same Stag Arms upper. I ended up selling it because I wanted to keep all my uppers the same (spare parts etc)

The Stag Arms upper was reliable and had a good accuracy.

Not at all surprised something didn't fit quite right with that lefty setup.

Glad it all worked out!

Anyone know if this Rear sight is mounted as far back as possible.

It appears to be forward quite a bit.

Possibly too far forward.(for my purpose)

Yes, I know.

The rear sight is on the first slot on the upper.

That looks awesome!

My GF is a lefty and enjoys shooting the AR a lot, but my rifle is a standard righty setup. At firsts he was uncomfortable using it, but seems be be doing just fine. She shoots my Beretta 90-Two rigthy, so I figured this would work as well.

I did not know a left upper was available! Maybe its an option for building her, her own AR.

Only thing is, looks like the mag release and bolt catch are still setup for a right handed user. I guess I can install a ambi-mag release and safe/fire selector, but as far as the bolt catch I guess someone would have to make a lefty lower as well...

The stag lower wich he is using for the left side upper does have a ambi mag release.
