View Full Version : I got my hands on a Springfield XD 9mm(pics)

I scored a Springfield XD 9 from a friend who is leaving the country in 2 days for cheap!:smile: 2 16 rd clips, and some other goodies show in pic. How much can I get for it? I want to keep it but the wife dropped the hammer after my last purchase of the DDM4 & Ruger LC9. This XD is clean, less than 200rds ran through it. And, take a look at the 3rd pic. It that a common thing to stamp on XD pistol boxes?

Yeah that is common.
It was on the XD and XDm box if I remember correctly. I no longer have either one of those so I can't check to be 100% sure.

I believe it can not be had in Cali because the mags hold over 10 rds

Alright, so how much should I look to sell it for? Clips, cleaning kit, etc....

We are the silent XD sentinels... The XD & XDM has had less issues than the M&P 9mm and Glock's lately...

Keep the XD... If you got it cheap, why fret a sale?

My 9mm Tactical was $285.00 used. I needed a longer barreled 9mm for bowling pins, and my favorite gun store shoved it into my hand. I don't think it had ever been fired, there wasn't even a scuff on the breech face. My local gun club started shooting 9mm pins 3 ft from the back of the table, so I needed a longer barrel, heavier bullets, and a slower powder.

Does springfield or its distributors let dealers have XDs on credit?

Every dealer I know has a TON of XDs. One posted that they had over 200 in stock and they are a pretty new shop.

They must be pretty cheap to manufacture. I see lots of shops really push the XDs so either there is a really good margin or some kind of overall qty incentive.

$225 is what I scored it for along with 300rds of ammo. The the wife is serious about me getting rid of it. I have 5 others that include a Mossberg, Daniel Defense,Glock,Ruger & Kel-Tec.

My local shop sells them new for $450. I havnt seen any used there though. I did see a few used ones at a shop thats always way overpriced. They wanted between $300-$350 for them.

I have both an XD9 and a XD45 and they are both very good guns. No problems at all.

Uh oh. Another one of the "I heard on the Internet but never shot one or had any problems with one" guys

The XDs and XDms are extremely reliable.

The slide cannot be pulled back unless the grip safety id depressed.

The grip safety is a serious point of failure. It is the only problem commonly associated with the XD's, something gets stuck in there and it cannot be depressed.

If I had it my way, none of my fire arms would have any safety including a drop/firing pin blocker lol.

l've got one l've been trying to sell for months xd45, no takers best offer was 250$, l actually forgot all about it until l read this.

Good job getting 400 for it, you can get a BRAND NEW one for under 350. Where do you find these people willing to pay 400 for used xds, l even have extra mags.

Local classifieds. I know this doesn't sound good but people will pay a premium in local ads because there is no background check. Around here, people are selling their used guns above the retail price.

I am currently borrowing that same pistol in 40SW from my brother right now.

Its not a bad shooter, but I might hand it back and grab another Glock for my collection, instead. Only because I don't want another platform and am trying to consolidate to 1911, Glock and P-series SIGs only.

If you like it...shoot it. I bet the 9mm shoots as good as the 40 version. They seem to sell really well around here, so I bet you can unload it fast, too, if you don't like it.
