View Full Version : 10.5" PSA uppers?
Anyone have any experience with the 10.5" PSA complete uppers? I havnt seen any reviews on them yet. I have a PSA m4 upper that has been great. I'm wondering if the 10.5s are functioning ok. Anyone know the gas port size on the 10.5 psa barrels?
Most companies will not publish port sizes. If you want to know I suggest that you contact PSA and ask.

I heard back from them and was told that they are .063. This seems very small for a 10.5. Smaller even than an LMT. The guy told me he used a micrometer to check, so I wonder how accurate he was.
If I recall correctly the M4 is around .063. MK18's should be around .068-.071 range.

Unless he's a machinist (I find that many I've known have extremely good judgement of measurements), it may not be that accurate. The best way to measure is using a set of pin gauges. The guy you spoke with could have easily been mistaken and the port is closer to the spec IG gave.

They won't tell you. I thought someone here had measured and thrown out .072? Search the forum maybe you'll find that.
As an aside, my 12" PSA upper is in the .067 range.
Psa uses fn barrels maybe that will help determine the answer
Thanks for the info guys. Munch520, how do you like your 12" PSA? Any issues?
I'm waiting on my stamp. But it's living on a buddy's lower and at a low count (500 rounds) 0 issues. Very soft shooting.
