I was hoping to be there for the pistol clinic but unfortunately familial obligations prevent me. That said, I've been to a number of these clinics run by Kevin/LMS and they are an awesome kick-start, if you've not had formal training, or a great tune-up for those who have.

Being one day, they're much easier to integrate into a busy schedule and Kevin keeps the pace solid, with little down time. He's a great instructor and anyone would be well served to attend. Here are some AARs from the carbine clinics I've attended.

And since Kevin is very modest about his background, here is a bit more info about him from the LMS site:

Kevin is a former Noncommissioned Officer (NCO) from the 75th Ranger Regiment. He served as a Machine Gunner, Grenadier, and Fire Team Leader. Kevin’s military education includes completion of Ranger School, SERE Level C, SOT, and the Jumpmaster course. Kevin’s civilian firearm training includes operator and instructor level courses with 10-8 Consulting, Bennie Cooley (CRTC), the Surefire Institute, Omega Options, and Valhalla Training Center. He is also an NRA certified Range Safety Officer. Kevin has assisted in the planning and execution of pre-deployment training for various military units as well as provided instruction in small arms employment and tactics.

Good stuff!

I've taken three or four classes with kevin and know first hand that this is a very fun and challenging class. it's great for beginners and runner gunners alike. the range is great. I'll try my hardest to make the pistol clinic for sure.
