I picked up my new Advanced Armament Mini4 on Saturday and decided to try it out on several hosts to show how the suppressor works on different length barrels and different gas systems.
The ammunition was Federal XM193 5.56 ammunition. The target, a steel plate about 18x36" is positioned 220 yards away.

Nicely done. Ive been eyeing the "mini" suppressors from the various mfg for awhile. Overall are you satisfied with the performance of the device, knowing its limitations and trade-offs?

Very nice. Takes the 51T mount, is that correct?

The Mini4 does take the 51 tooth mount. I do like the compactness of the suppressor. If I were to be entering a building, I would be confident that the Mini4 would be more than enough to protect everyone's hearing with any length barrel compared to no suppressor at all.
The mini4 was only uncomfortable to shoot without ear pro with the 10.3. After about 5 rounds I started to flinch. The bolt cycling was also very loud.

Given that bit of info, do you still feel that it's worth it as an only can to share between a 10.3 and say, a 16"? Or, would you prefer to step it up to a full-size can for the 10.3 trading the weight and length, of course. As for sharing, let's say 70% 10.3" use, 30% 16" use.

Thanks!

Thanks for the videos! I'm planning on a couple SBR's and the Mini4 suppressor caught my eye...that or the M4-2000.

I think the Mini4 fits the roll of an all around suppressor that does not have a dedicated host. If I were to run the 10.3 suppressed 100% of the time I think I would have gone with the M4-2000.
If I decide to run any of the rifles that I have 100% suppressed with the Mini4, I would pick my 12.5. It is the best of both worlds and still shorter than a standard M4 with the suppressor attached.
Obviously all barrel lengths, suppressed and unsuppressed, were quite capable at 220 yards. From the sound of the rounds hitting the steel, I know I wouldn't want to get hit with any of them.

Thanks, this is exactly what I was looking for.
