I'm not even sure it's ok to ask.. so forgive me if it's not.

I'd like to create a trust, and live in TX. I have a $400 quote from and in-state attorney that says he's done 30 of them...

My thought is that if someone else here in TX would be so kind as to let me copy what worked for them, it would sure save me some $ and be appreciated.

thoughts?

Good luck. Not many people post them up online for others to copy and use. I've only ever seen one posted and IIRC it was posted by someone in Florida. Here's the link if it helps any.

I certainly wouldn't expect nor want anyone to post it on line, I'm thinking local, or via pm or email.

Thanks for the info though.

This is the one I just used. Really quick to reply and very helpful. I had my trust documents in hand in about three days. Hope this helps.

Thanks! How much did it cost you? Did they just do the Trust paperwork, or did they also do the BATFE submission paperwork?

They have a standard price of $300. They only build the trust for you. I still have to submit my forms with my FFL/CL3 dealer. They were able to answer every question I had about NFA trusts. Very helpful.

Quicken Will Maker anyone, cost $20, took less than 20 minutes to fill it out, went to bank and got it notarized. 5 1/2 mos later Form 4 approved in hand, this has worked for me twice already.

P.S. Trust was created in TX, easy peasy

Do not trust the internet. Get a lawyer to draw up a trust.

If a good lawyer drew up a good trust, it is that lawyer's work product and intellectual property. If a crappy lawyer slapped together a form trust, it's still his work product and intellectual property, just not as good.

I have met more than two individuals in Texas whose "trusts" they made using Willmaker were completely invalid and legally nonexistent. If you do not know the ins-and-outs of trust law in your state, it is foolish to try to make one yourself.

Your not buying a peice of paper, your buying the services of a lawyer. An inproper SBR or suppressor can wind you in jail and a loss of constitutional rights.

I wouldn't trust a lawyer who had "done" 30 of them. I'd pick a lawyer who specialized in. Whenever I get around to getting a trust, it won't be the cheapest one, but I'll sleep at night.

HA HA!! A lawyer who has 30 of them seems awfully qualified to me, and how is my trust improper? It's a legal document, and deemed fit to conduct transactions through the ATF for NFA weapons. You people are too f!@#ing paranoid!! Know your rights and the laws, and as far as sleep goes...I sleep great, right next to my SBR and Suppressor.

BTW here is the link showing these paranoid fools who've wasted their money, how its done
