I'm looking to get a good pair of multicam pants. I want them to fit pretty slim and very durable. I would also prefer something other than the ripstop, and something a little more water resistant. Any suggestions? I've been looking at the otte alpine trousers, the crye g3 combat or field pants, and the arc'teryx talos pants but haven't been able to find much info on the otte and arc'teryx pairs. If anyone has any of these please tell me how you like them and how they fit
thank you

What is the intended use? Most people who need those kind of trousers get them issued. $200 is a lot of money for pants if you just want to look cool at the range.

actually they are primarily for hiking and backpacking in the appalachian mountains, and for the range. I already have hiking pants but was looking for multicam this time

For slim fit, try Vertx.

How slim is "slim" ?

Like hipster nut huggers slim?

For slim fit, try Vertx.

Just buy them one size larger than you usually wear since they tend to run small (in my experience).

I would say more of a tapered leg on the Vertx. The thigh area and waist are roomy.

I like the elastic port and starboard on the hip area.

I really like the Vertx.

I also agree about getting one size bigger too.

I have TACTICAL RESPONSE UNIFORM (TRU) TROUSERS from Tru-Spec.

http://http://www.truspec.com/

They are 50/50 NYCO and while they are durable, they are not slim fit and they are rip-stop. They would not meet your need as expressed in the OP.

Probably the ultimate would be Arc-Teryx Sphinx Pant Patterned

I have them in Crocodile and they are perfection. Arc'Teryx describes them as having an athletic fit, so maybe that would be your criteria for slim fit. I would not, however, describe them as slim fit. My idea of slim fit is a Levi 501 (don't ever buy Levi's, btw).

No not like women's skinny jeans slim. More like not baggy and fit close, kind of "low profile"

Is crocodile close in color with coyote?

Crocodile is a variation of green, not a variation of brown like coyote. Various websites, and how they are displayed on computer monitors, often show crocodile as more brown than it actually is. Arc'Teryx Crocodile, however, is a very versatile color. It compliments multicam, browns, even woodland and three color desert, very well. Multicam certainly has its value, but crocodile dials down the tactical, which I appreciate.
