Let me preface this by saying that if I could get my hands on a Surefire MB556K (and they made one with M14x1 threads) I would get it, but as I am in Sweden, and these little things are ITAR restricted it's a no-go...

Anyway, does anyone here have any experience with the Roedale HT-Comp? It is suspiciously similar to the SureFire MB556K but does not seem to have the interface so that a SureFire can can be mounted (and since SureFire suppressors cannot be exported without letter head this is even more a no-go, thusly the missing interface is not a concern to me).

As far as I can tell it looks as though the ports are not a 100% match between the two, and I also cannot judge what the internal chamber looks like, so the question is how effective the Roedale is compared to the SureFire (or any other comp out there that doesn't look like was stolen from a pimped-out battle tank)?

Anyone know?

Seems no one has any experience with these. So, as my rifle will only be used for competition I ordered an Oberland Arms OA-CompPlus instead.

I have friends who have used Roedale's other brakes on bolt actions, but it seems his brakes for semi-/full-auto firearms are more of an unknown commodity.

The OA-brake will do for now though; it has the added benefit of fulfilling the requirements for use in USPSA/IPSC Standard, which I'm not sure the SureFire/Roedale does.
