View Full Version : AAC mount?? Rockset required or will Loctite suffice?
I just installed an 18tooth break that I bought a while back. The Rockset it came with had hardened up already and was not usable. I had some blue Loctite handy and used that, but want to know it I need to remove and reinstall with Rockset. IIRC, the Loctite is susceptible to heat and the Rockset isn't. Do I need to get some more Rockset and remove/reinstall the mount?
Thanks for your input,
ADH

If you're going to use a suppressor on it use Rocksett.
yeah, use Rocksett, but rather than getting it from a silencer manufacturer, you can get a life supply here: http://www.amazon.com/Flexbar-Rocksett-2-OZ/dp/B001C1D800/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1335272322&sr=8-1
As the stuff is water solulable couldn't OP just wet the hardened stuff down a bit to get it soft again then apply and let re-dry, or does water ruin its properties?
Thanks for all the replies....gonna be running my M41000 on it with some frequency

Unfortunately no......because the OP tossed the stuff....oh well:rolleyes:
Rocksett has always done the trick for me on muzzle devices.
Loctite (blue or red) will break down at higher heats.
I found this to be pretty helpfull.
