tried searching the forums for admin pouches, but cant seem to find what im looking for. Im looking for a real low profile admin pouch, that will hold a RITR booklet, a few pens/pencils some spare batteries and a compass and a surefire G2, dont want anything real big, any extra features are fine, but looking to keep bulk on the low end so it doesnt interfere with my reloads. any ideas or leads will be greatly appreciated. thanks fellas for your help in advance.

if it helps im running a Mayflower R&C APC with 4 open stop single pouches on the cummberbund flap, above that is empty real estate

I just picked up a BFG Admin Pouch (http://www.blueforcegear.com/admin-pouch-with-helium-whisper-attachment-system/). It's perfect. For it's size, it's the lightest admin pouch I have owned.
The "Helium Whisper" line is extremely light and durable. I would highly recommend this pouch.

an actual admin pocket, very low profile to make reaching those mag shingles easy.

I'll second the BFG. I have a lot of their stuff and am never disappointed with any of it. Great kit - and they stand behind it for life.

I had issues with my admin. pouch either getting in the way or taking up too much space on my carrier. Seemed like the ones that were small would get so full I couldn't get anything out of it.

I went to a CSM fanny pack, or "nut ruck". It has worked very well. It is way out of the way from my mags etc, and it is much easier to get stuff out of.

i have looked at most of these, can you guys explain why you chose that admin pouch, or perhaps post a picture of it mounted to a chest rig or plate carrier?

I looked at several manufacturers before I decided on the "Stealth", a Mil-Spec Monkey/ Tactical Tailor offering. I too have limited space on my chest rig. So size was the biggest factor in my decision to buy this particular model. It's approx. 6 1/2 x 6 3/4 x 2 1/2 fully loaded with a flash light, multi-tool, 2 chem lights, batteries, pens, note pad, lighter, anticeptic wipes, lip balm, etc, etc. Plus it's made in America. I'll try to get some pics. later.

I thought Gear Scout had one coming but don't think it ever showed up... This article is pretty old too.

Depending on the application of your rig and unless you are specifically looking for a fold down admin pouch; check out the BFG Ten Speed pouches. You could use some sort of combination of rifle and/or pistol mag pouches. It would be really low pro and dual purpose.

MSM myself. Its a thin profile so its not hanging way out there in the way of anything I have to do with my hands.

I would recomend against the Zulu Tactical Mega Admin (I saw some one recomended Zulu Tac) for your wants. Im currently deployed to Afghanistan and served as a Light Infantry Platoon Leader. My set up was as follows. I used the Army issued plate carrier with the Zulu Tactical Mega Admin pouch mounted as high as I could get it. I only used the malice clips on 2 rows of molle even though it could fit 3 so that I could rotate the poch up and away from me a little in order to draw mags. I ran a Mayflower 4 mag shingle directly below it. Although not ideal to have a pouch mounted over the shingle, I had no issue drawing mags from it when I had to (and I did have to while under accurate effective enemy fire). As the western way of fighting goes, as a PL Im really not supposed to be shooting a whole lot which is why I made that trade off. The pros for the Mega Admin is that I fit my Garmin, compas, trip ticket, and 9 line card in the pouch. In the front flap I carried 3x5 cards for takig notes. I used the GP pouch to carry a second tourniquet. Ill try and take some pics of what I have in the next few days. Im looking for something smaller now that I have transitioned to XO and was looking at the BFG Helium pouch
