Hello All,

I just finished building my first AR and took it out to the range this past weekend. It shot great and I was overall very happy and proud of the build. One question I do have is about the ejection of the brass. I noticed a guys AR next to mine throwing brass perpendicular to his body and it was throwing it high and wide. When shooting mine it was ejecting low and slightly in front of my body. There was no loft on the brass. I have a BCM bolt and I was shooting American Eagle 55 grain bullets. I did not have any jams but I was wondering if this was normal.

Thanks!

As long as your rifle is feeding and ejecting the spent brass reliably, this is nothing to worry about. Do a quick search for ejection patterns and you'll see basically the same reply each time.
