My fiancé is getting into the shooting sport since we started going to the range lately and is interested in an AR. She really likes the 11.5" KAR SR15 (and I am too:D) and have no problem getting one for each of us. My dilemma.....she wants to get PINK furniture on it! I personally think that is an abomination!

What to do?!?

Indulge her. The lady wants a fine SBR. Get her some pink stuff to go on it.

Wait a second. Is it hers? Or yours that you call "hers?"

Do whatever encourages her to use the rifle.
Then you can take her to couples carbine classes.

Personally I'm wishing for some magical furniture that convinces wives to clean their gear after they are finished. Good luck with that.

It would be hers. I am planning on one for each of us. She wants one to call HERS. I own 2 ARs currently, but she wants one that is HERS. I know it will be hers but I have some issue with knowing that I am getting her such a quality weapon that she wants to color pink.....but if that is what she wants.....
She will be going to a carbine class with me once we get her a AR.

Some key points are missing from your post. Do you currently own any AR's? I can't tell by the post. I say if she wants a pink AR, go for it! It will be hers and as long as it doesn't obstruct the function, let her have at it.

I built my wife a quality AR for her own usage. If the pink furniture gets her more involved, do it. You can always bring the rifle back to standard tactical black.

Most guys I know think it's cool to see a chick with a pink (or any other color) AR on the range actually running one. Most of us would do one up in pink with purple polka dots if that would get our women out there as well.

Get her EXACTLY what she wants and watch her enjoy it with pride.
