Damn......Paul Revere.
My best friend that lived down the street back in '86 popped their tape into his dad's house system and bumps License to Ill.
He then bought me the tape for my birthday.

I idolize no earthly being, but loved the BB and will be interested in the direction they take.

License to Ill came out when I was a freshman in college. I saw campus parties go INSANE when DJ's spun "You Gotta Fight" back then. ;)
On the bright side, 250 years from now, a young James T. Kirk will STILL be rockin' to their sound...

Somehow very fitting. I go all the way back to their independent days with Cookie Puss and I remember when Holt it now, Hit it dropped as a single prior to the release of Licensed to Ill.
Paul Revere definitely wins the prize for "most groove" but I think Rhymin' & Stealin' was my favorite track. At the time I had a girlfriend working at Musicland and she gave me the store poster.

Kinda a shame the way Rick Rubin screwed them on that first album.

I was in 6th grade when license to ill came out and I can still recite almost every word from that album.
Cookiepuss was their first album but not many knew of that one.
