View Full Version : Has Noveske discontinued complete 7.62?
They haven't been listed on the web site for a while and they won't reply to my email.
I think they are up to something new for their 7.62 design. At least that's what I have heard......

That should be VERY interesting...
I've heard the 7.62 line will be reintroduced late 2012 early 2013.
PS. My guess is you will get an email back from them within a week or two. They, like everyone, are just busy.
I was curious about this as well, I hope the 7.62 love from Noveske continues.

Personally, I think the LaRue OBR took a bite out of their popularity. We went with the OBR mainly due to the magazine issue, and the fact that the OBR was a friggen laser in terms of accuracy.
Though we have lots of Noveske goodness, we went with LaRue and 7.62.
Something new will be coming;)

Rainier still has an 18'' bbl in stock, fyi.
My guess would be SR25 style with VLTOR A5 RE's.
I actually got a reply from Joel at Noveske about this...
"We are expanding as a company and we will bring the 7.62 x 51mm gun back before the end of the year."
Good news!
That sounds very promising. Now the wife will have to get a matching 7.62 with her 5.56.
I would be very interested in a 16" 7.62 in a NSR rail + MUR type upper + Gen2 type lower ;)
Agreed, I'm thinking an FFL type SR-25 magazine lower (possibly with KAC style ambi bolt and mag similar to MEGA's ambi 5.56 lower), A5 RE, NSR Rail, and the same Noveske barrels we know and love.
I think we'll see a few barrel lengths (18" to 12.5") as well.
Just reviving this to see if there's any info on a Noveske 7.62 platform coming out anytime soon? If not specifics, then general idea on when we might see...something? :secret:
I love my N6 except I would prefer PMAGs.
I wonder how many times Mr. Noveske has heard that line.

Sorry, but John doesn't really do "heads up";) He is kinda like Willie Wonka and the Oompa Loompas locked away and then all of a sudden SURPRISE something wonderful rolls out:p
Of, course Sheri is much hotter than an Oompa Loompa :p
The Oompa Loompas are up to something 7.62 tho:D

"Yes, around the end of the year we will debut the newest 7.62 x 51 Noveske rifle." - Joel, 29 Jun 12.
I'm looking forward to something better than an Lmt, kac, and larue. Not sure if that'll happen, but I can hope!
You gotta love the 7.62 from Noveske
When the SR25 pattern rifles hit, I would love to see a 14.5"-16" gun with a med profile barrel, and a 13" or 15" NSR. A NovesAR of sorts.

It will happen. ;)
It will happen. ;)
I am throwing money at the computer screen, but I don't see a shipment notification :(
Any details at all??

Patience, Alderan. The death star hasn't reached full charge - I suspect they'll drop, and then be hard to find because of how awesome they'll be. Many wallets will cry out.
If my prediction for the GenII Thunder Ranch 5.56 rifles hold, we'll probably see:
FFL/Gen2 style flared lower (SR-25 type) with integral trigger guard.
NSR-10 Handguards
BCM Gunfighter 7.62 CH's
We may even see some standard with an A5 RE/EMOD kit.
What I'm more curious about is going to be the price - it's going to have to compete with the PredatOBR, in the same caliber, but depending on some of the options available, it might really be a better rifle - so much so that a higher cost become irrelevant.
