View Full Version : Attaching a pressure switch between rails
I am looking for any helpful suggestions on mounting a pressure pad between rails. It will be on a KAC 7" rail. Preferably between the 8 and 12 rails. Need it to be secure as possible and stand up to hard afghan use. Any ideas?
I mount mine with double sided velcro.
Its stayed put for a few months now

^^same.
If you go the route of a VFG, Double sided velcro wit a wrap of Gorilla duct tape. I prefer the Gorilla brand stuff to the 90MPH stuff

The pic I posted shows a great way to do it, Im not saying its the "Be all, end all method but it works.
The glue on the tape sticks pretty good, but if its out in the field I would for SURE bring some extra tape strips.
Its not the BEST glue in the world but it works.
The location is snag free but LOTS of dust in my area on top of the tape lifting will eventually work it loose.
I run this config. on my Kino, I also have the same light and mount on my 11.5" with a TRX, given the "Tube" design, I cant really mount in between "Railks" on that set-up, and I really dont need two $80 SR-07 switches.
I hope this was helpful
It would be ugly as hell, but a ranger band(cut up bike inner tube) would work..
I've got mine done like the picture above as well and has worked great for over a year now.

Per Vickers, use zip ties after everything else.
Trident82...that is a fantastic idea.
Looks clean!
that's totally not what the op asked for...
Just because it's not what he asked for doesn't mean he might not like the suggestion and decide to go another route if he sees something else he liked more that what he had originally envisioned.
