The part at the end about returning them to their parent's basements was right on. What a joke the whole thing is, yet Obama bought into it. Only 7 months left...

Nice. I liked the tagline of the group that put it up.

"Party on the Right--The drinking, smoking, cussing wing of the GOP"

Fixed it for you, unfortunately. :(

Wait a sec. A couple of days ago you guys had jumped in bed with the OWS crowd and the Spire lawsuit alleging a vast money laundering conspiracy by the mortgage banks.

Politics makes for strange bedfellows. And a lot of one-night-stands.

Wait, so if you're upset at something and a fringe group happens to be upset at the same thing, you're one in the same?

That is the stupidest thing I've heard in a while, and its only Monday.

As I stated in the other thread, I'm in complete agreement the banks ****ed a lot of folks (well, considering TARP and all the rest, I suppose they ****ed every taxpayer in this country) and the government gave them the gate, turned a blind eye to what was happening, allowed them to privatize their profits and then made John Q. Public pick up the tab when the whole shit house burned down.

As for the Spire law suit, I'll wait and see. The complexities of the financial machinations in play and the level of collusion among the players will, as previously alluded to, require countless hours of diligent investigation to unravel. My experience tells me that, at the end of the day, big money wins. And these are serious big money players.

My admittedly flippant earlier remark was simply pointing out that even the most ardent of adversaries sometimes find themselves standing shoulder to shoulder against a common enemy. I don't anticipate any of you will be sporting dreads or breaking out the hacky-sacks anytime soon.

Disliking banks and their practices is not the same as liking hippie, socialist vandals. By the same token, disliking certain racists practices in the 60s doesn't mean I like black racists groups such as the Nation of Islam simply because we happen to agree on one thing.

No, we didn't do that Dave. I could go on and on about the fallacy of your assertion, but it seems the others have summed it up rather well.

Pleased think before posting. :)

So following your logic & Mensa Society nominee statement of the year...

ergo,

I like Fried Chicken & Watermelon therefore I share the same beliefs as The Black Panzies...
I like Sushi therefore I share the same beliefs as all Japanese people...
I like Lamb & Hummus therefore I share the same beliefs as Muslims do...

Brilliant non sequitur, just brilliant.....

Me thinks that maybe your comprehension of his post was a little off?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that comment by Cesiumsponge was a shot at my first post in this thread, which was written tongue-in-cheek but apparently not received as such by a few members.

No where is the concept of "sar-chasm" (http://sarchasm.net/) more clearly evident than on internet forums.

No worries. I'm fond of saying than the man who invents a sarcasm button for the Internet will be the next billionaire. Misinterpreting a misinterpretation of a comment quickly leads to a lot of confusion. I'm obviously guilty of doing the same thing. :D
