mcfarland gas rings

hey guys,what is the consensus on the mcfarland bolt gas rings?i`ve heard that their hit or miss:too tight or too loose.do they hold up any better than the regular steel stamped rings?on a modern bolt like a young manufacturing national match bolt carrier group would i ever have a concern with the rings that come on it as far as normal wear goes?anyone with longtime experience with the mcfarland rings that would chime in would be great!thank you!:blink:
