I plan on swapping my M4 stock for the older CAR-15 style, is it as simple as just swapping stocks or do I have to change buffer tubes also?

Just make sure you get the correct size stock for you current tube.

Just make sure you get the correct size stock for you current tube.I have the 1.17" commercial tube. the only problem is finding someone to trade with as no one bothers with the older CAR stocks and most available seem to be airsoft crap.
