My father-in-law; Colonel (ret) Rocky Chavez (http://electrockychavez.com/cat1sub1.php) is running for this seat. Due to his focus on taking care of veterans, I thought this would be relevant to this forum. This is for the 76th District Assembly seat.

I can personally attest to his status as a true conservative and staunch advocate of the Second Amendment. He's a 1911 guy.

He got a chance to do a lot of good work for veterans as Under Secretary and then Acting Secretary of Veterans Affairs for the State of California. Unfortunately, the Brown administration made him pay the price for supporting the Republican gubernatorial candidate and let him go as Acting Secretary for Veterans Affairs.

I think that for those of you able to vote in this district; that this man's ideals are very well suited for the military and forum membership here.

Let me know if I can answer any questions.

Holy poop - Chief of Staff for the 4th MarDiv? They don't pass that out to just anybody.

Good luck to Col. Chavez, he sounds like the real deal.

Do you mind if I respost on Calguns.net?

No, I don't live there, but if it can help veterans...

Out-freaking-standing. His was the rare bit of good news last night, then.

It was a pleasure to contribute to his campaign. I got a pair of nice newsletters from his team. I'm looking forward to continuing my support.

It's good to know we have allies behind the lines.

Thanks, man. He will do some good work in CA.
