Yesterday went to the range to sight in my scope to my new upper. Also wanted to see what was more accurate, the 55, 62, 69 or 75 grain bullets. Upper has 223 wylde chamber in 1:8 twist.

I had a value pac of 50- 223 from Winchester, 55 gn cheapies.
Used a 40 round magazine. Of the 50, three jammed and had the bullet pushed into the case far enough the case neck cracked. NOT what I wanted to see.

I also used my Magpul 30 round magazine with Hornady bullets, fired off 20 each of 40 gn V max, 62 grn BTHP, 75 grn BTHP, and 50 rounds of Black Hills 69 grn Sierra BTHP. Not one problem with any other ammo other than the Winchester.

Managed a dime size hole at 25 yards, unable to get anything at 100 yards as the wind was bad. The wind started about 20 mph when at the 25 yard distance. But when at 100 yards wind picked up to steady 30 mph with wind gusts to 60!!! So bad the wind bent a couple of target racks, including mine. And the target rack was moving back and forth 3-4 inches.

Still I did find shooting at a target bent 45 degrees towards the shooter in 60 mph winds that the new Superior (Lilja barrel) upper really liked the 69 grain Sierra BTHPs. Ordered a whole bunch more of the Black Hills rounds, maybe next time I can shoot it at 200 yards with little wind.
