I dont have a wallet, can't carry a gun. I do carry a byrd cera cera knife, my IPhone with a CaseMate case that holds my drivers license and ATM card, car keys and some times a Cross Classic pen.
I do have a backback in my car that carries all my work items plus the newspapers of the day.

I should really start carrying a light again. I have a streamlight kubaton light that is decent not sure where it is!

Yes I pay close attention to pockets when I buy pants! 5.11 shorts today they work great.

Well, I guess responding to this post was a good thing. It provided cause for me to check my gear...including my SureFire. When I clicked it on, the bulb came on, then POP and off. Guess I'll be needing a new one! Better to have that happen now than when I actually needed it I suppose.

I would assume he is a reserve deputy for his local Sheriff, much like Ken Hackathorn. It comes with some advantages and they can train their local Sheriff dept with some pretty damn finite skill sets.

I'm an old man too. That's VERY similar to my setup. My S&W PD340 J-frame gets more carry time than anything else. It just melts into a pocket and you forget it's there.

Leather man style CS. It is fine for day to day tasks. Light use only. But it weighs very little and I know I wouldn’t actually carry anything bigger.

How do you carry the spare two mags?

I have a Desantis pocket holster for my Shield 9 and a single spare in a Desantis holder.

For those of you guys that pocket carry, do you put your pocket knife strong side on the pocket? I don't get as clean of draws. How do you carry a flashlight?

No one carries a cell phone?

I just got an EDCL2-T that I'm trying out.

I carry the shield and spare mag with the Desantis pocket holster and mag pouch. I can carry a mag second mag if I have my 5.11 or similar pants on in the mag/knife pouch. I’d like a double pocket mag pouch.

This looks pretty interesting.

Frommycolddeadhand,

I pocket carry my j frame in my front right pocket. Folding knife clips into my right hip pocket. Car keys go into same pocket. Reloads on strips go in front left pocket. Cell phone and or wallet in back left hip pocket. No flashlight. I do have a inside belt holster for the revolver but prefer pocket carry. It is reassuring to easily touch and rest my strong hand on the revolver at all times. No one knows as a lot of people walk around with their hands in their pockets.

I carry the knife weak side inside or clipped onto my left pocket. I always recommend carrying knife weak side. Just in case your strong side is inaccessible and you can't get your firearm, you have a chance to get the knife weak side.

I have a double mag carrier from crossbreed, but most of the time I just shove them in a pocket. I'd like to try one of the double pocket mag carriers posted above.

I wear Duluth pants, and they have plenty of pockets for flashlights and mags, etc.

I carry a cell phone also. Usually in my shirt pocket.

ETA: I typically carry the shield in a cross breed freedom carry.

I wish I’d seen it earlier. It looks perfect. The Fan logo cracks me up too! I have used a Safariland version for years for full size Glock magazines.

Here is a smaller version Safariland version. I’m going to give it a try too. It looks smaller.

I re consider my choice every winter when I start up the wood stove. I spent plenty of nights sleeping in a hole with my boots on and gas mask as a pillow. Screw that! Imas eyeing the 642 yesterday. Yes. Although one time around '94 or '95 I tried a box of rimmed 9mm that Federal put out. They would stick like crazy and I would get divits in my palm from smacking the ejector rod hard enough to eject the casings.

I must have the lamest EDC ever. Wallet, Ronson lighter, Boker Tech Tool (swiss army type knife), keys with P-38 can opener and Swiss Army Classic on the keychain. At work, a lanyard with company ID, Contractor's CAC, and a USB drive. Phone and hearing aids unless I am in the SCIF.

Can't carry a gun at work, of course, and the Tech Tool/SAK is handier than a lock blade.

For me here in Los Angeles; keys, ridge wallet, cell phone, and a Benchmade AFO II.

CA knife laws are even screwier than their gun laws, it might be perfectly legal to carry this knife at home but it may be illegal in the next town over where I do my grocery shopping. In fact, the knife laws are so convoluted that I don't even make an attempt to learn them, the blade could be illegal everywhere but the Army gave it to me and I'm going to keep carrying it and use that as my defense if the need arises. Before I was given the Benchmade (I actually was given an Infidel as well but it's to big to EDC) I carried a Strider folder that the Army also gave me, and before that it was a couple of SOG Tridents. I don't remember what pocket knife I carried before them, but I got my first trident back in '05 I think.

If I could get a CCW here, I'd go out and get a Shield, I carried a full size 1911 back in NY but looking back on it, I must have been printing like a mother with that, and my M&P is just to thick to conceal, so getting a permit would be a great excuse to get a new gun. I tried out a shield that a buddy owns when we were at Camp Williams for SLC a few years back and it was a comfortable gun for appendix carry, he offered to sell it to me as well for cheap but I had just dropped 1,400 for a CLE upper and didn't want to upset the wife with another gun purchase.

Speaking of what's in your pockets, I worked with a guy that would only carry change that added up to or ended in a '9' or a '7'. Same thing with his pricing. The digits in the price had to add up to a certain number.

I was at a tradeshow and at lunch I got a cookie, which I had to put in my pocket. I had all kinds of knick-knacks from the show in my pockets and when I started emptying them out at our booth, I got down to the cookie that I had totally forgotten- and in a surprised voice I said "Oh, a cookie" like someone else had put it there. One of my bosses loves to tell that story.

I keep several pieces of Mentos tropical flavored gum in my pockets. Peak flavor has an onset of approximately 15 seconds with a duration of approximately 3 minutes so I have to keep a fairly large amount on hand to make it through a day.
