I am going to go with a recurve bow. But I'm not sure on the rest. Any opinions on what works best? Biggest bang for the buck? I'm not going to go and do it every day just as a casual sport.

Thanks,

The only reel to get is the AMS retriever, nothing else comes close.

I shoot Muzzy arrows, with safety slides. Safety slides are also without equal.

I use an old brass roller rest, I think Muzzy currently makes one out of some type of plastic.

If you decide to go with one of the cheaper drum reels that you rewind by hand,be very careful to wind the line evenly and not get it snagged on the bow.

Nothing like having a fiberglass arrow bounce back at you to get the heart rate up.
