Best entry level AR-15 for under $950?

I'm looking for a good system that is cheap enough to have a little money extra for the rail and other stuff. I know Spikes Tactical and Stag Arms are good places to start but would like to hear more on the Oly's, DPMS, Del-Ton and anything else anybody has heard of. I am also thinking about doing a build, too. I'm open for any ideas.

If you are setting a limit, then you are doomed to fail. How will you shoot it if you cannot afford magazines and ammo? What about cleaning gear?

Did you know that DPMS, Oly Arms, Delton, are crap? Probably not since you are new here and haven't taken the time to use the ORANGE search button.

For about 1000.00 you can get a Colt carbine.
