Issue With Taylor Freelance M&P 45 Mag Extensions

I just purchased 2 Taylor Freelance mag extensions for my FS 45.

I took out the "hump" at the bottom of the mag body and installed the new spring and base pad. My issue is that the mags don't drop free with the extension on. Also the trigger (Apex FSS) is affected in that you must pull it further back to break and it feels mushy. I have dry fired only.

If you put the same mag body back together with the original spring and base plate it works fine. I'm extremely puzzled. Any ideas as to what is going on?

Well I found my problem.

The back retaining plate (the feature that made me buy the TF's) was binding on the take down tool. This cased the mag to not drop free or seat perfectly straight.

This may just be an issue with recent manufacture M&P's or just the the 45's. I have 14 rounders so I'm inclined to send these back rather than make them fit.

If you buy these and have this problem, maybe this will save you some head scratching.
