Well, Thought some of you may want to know what some G17 mags look like after 50,000 rounds through the 3 of them. They all have the original parts and function 100% and get this--they drop free as well:eek:

And you guessed it--I didn't get gloves for Christmas!

Wow, those Glock mags have certainly seen some better days. :D

How many times did you have to replace the mag springs in 50K worth of use?

Those look like Tier 2 drop-free wannabees.......

I have some G17 mags that look pretty bad like that too. Blackwaters gravel is hell on mags, when I used to shoot a lot of indoor matches the concrete at Shooters Paradise was pretty abrasive too.

The beauty of it is how cheap replacement mags are for Glocks.

Nothing has been replaced on them. I'm cheap and painted the base plates to ID them as my training mags. Easy to tell now though. I've trimmed guages with my knife and pulled shell casing off them when stepped on.

Like a day after Mexican food and beer!

I wanted to start the thread because of the mag issues some people may not be aware of. I'm sure there's mags elsewhere that have received equal or greater use and they still work. Great testiment to quality.

I'm having a hard time believing it for some reason...

Besides, what makes you qualified to talk about GLOCKs?

:p

There's a holstered pic of one on the AK dirt test thread(other assault rifles) It's a standard G17 with Trijicons with some holster wear, nothing else.

I've used the same 3 issued G22 mags for 7yrs of training and duty. I only have around 20K through them though. Recently one started to induce double feeds, I think the feed lips got damaged by being stepped on, so I replaced it with an unkown origin G22 mag that somehow found it's way into my range bag, it works great too.

I just laugh when I read all the 1911 mag threads that have been on here lately.

If that's how the mags look, how does the Glock look?

Anything like this?

Something just doesn't look right about that. A Garand just needs a 1911 to go along with it! :D

It was in-part the qualities of the mags that put me back onto using my G19 full-time.
