View Full Version : U.N. not happy to let others have all the attention, appoints Mugabe tourism envoy
Apparently the U.N. felt it wasn't making enough news, so they have chosen Robert Mugabe to be their international tourism envoy.

Ramping up I see & setting the bar high as he is humanity's gift for our planet....
Well this is helpful, wherever comrade Bob says is ok to go, I'll stay away. Seriously, for the US to still be apart of this debacle has got to be some form of governmental insanity.
first stop is Egypt to witness proper and peaceful elections...then off to our blissful Mexican border town of nuevo laredo & Juarez to demonstrate how the various narco sanctions work together in harmony with the military.
Final stop, Washington DC to hear how Pres. Obama will champion fiscal responsibility.
...what planet am I on??

We should have withdrew from and evicted the UN off our land decades ago...

Information Note on recent press coverage related to the hosting of the 20th UNWTO General Assembly, Victoria Falls (Zambia/Zimbabwe)
May 2012
Over the last few days a series of articles related to the hosting of the UNWTO General Assembly in Victoria Falls (Zambia/Zimbabwe) have been published which do not reflect the facts. In this respect, UNWTO would like to clarify the following:
The 155 UNWTO Member States decided, at the 19th Session of the UNWTO General Assembly held in October 2011 in the Republic of Korea, to hold the 20th Session of the UNWTO General Assembly in Victoria Falls (Zambia/Zimbabwe) in 2013. In this framework, the UNWTO Secretary-General was in Victoria Falls on 29 May 2012 to sign a tripartite agreement with both countries on the hosting of the 20th Session of the General Assembly.
Tourism is today a central sector for the future of all countries, particularly African countries, where it accounts for an increasing number of jobs, community developments and export earnings and thus, on the occasion of the signature of the above mentioned agreement, the Secretary-General presented the Presidents of Zambia and Zimbabwe with an Open Letter on Travel and Tourism. This Letter was sent to all heads of state and government worldwide and aims to raise awareness of the potential of tourism for development, job creation and economic growth. The Open Letter calls upon heads of state and government to support the tourism sector as it can contribute to build a better future for the people of their countries, if properly developed.
It is also important, in this context, to note that UNWTO does not have an Ambassadors Programme and that the receiving of the Open Letter implies no legal commitment or official title attribution to the country or the recipient.

"Mr Secretary-General, I must point out that with President Mugabe's pogrom of ethnic cleansing, he will soon run out of victims. He start casting about for another group to cleanse."
"That could cause instability within the area and lead to another terrible war. I will issue a decree making President Mugabe the international envoy of tourism. That should allow him to entice enough fresh victims to Zimbabwe to satisfy his blood-lust"

"Daddy, daddy, a Mr. Mugabe is giving us a vacation so we can attend a program for a good cleaning of our rednecks. Can we go?"
