View Full Version : Gripforce Adapter pin modification

I'm running one of the newer Gripforce adapters (the one without the vertical ridges below the beavertail) on my 3rd gen G17. Love it. One question though: the pin that comes with the adapter to hold it in place is too long IMHO. I noticed that any amount of range time pushes the pin flush with the right side of the adapter from gripping the gun with my strong hand (right). There's excess pin sticking out the left side of the frame. I'm thinking that if I can shorten it so it's flush on both sides of the frame (it sticks out a little equally on each side when symmetrical) that I'd be in business.

Anybody have a method that works well for this, or did I miss something in the instructions and accidentally install a pin that was made for the .45 Glocks?

Emery board or nail file works for me
