I havent used the Thorntail mount but they seem to be the latest rage.

Im not a fan of running my light that far forward nor do I have a rifle that would accomodate it, it looks like a solid mount however, Im waiting to hear how they hold up to abuse.

I have run SEVERAL light mounts over the years and Gear Sector mounts have come to be my favorite. The things are bulletproof.

It doesnt matter WHAT mount you are running, you should ALWAYS be using Lock tite. Lights are a NECESSITY and you cant afford to have them work their way loose and fall off.
