index point re-do (fill in) help

I had one of the guys at my local shop do a stipple, under-cut and a index point on my g19 . I dont use the index point at all there is enough room before the cut for my hands, but sometimes my finger will find it when doing drills or moving quick.( The index point is a cut out on the underside of the trig guard ) I would like to get rid of it by filling it in with some type of expoxy sand it down and smooth it out.

Will this idea work?
If so what epxoy should i use?
If not what do you suggest?
