I was actually just thinking about starting a thread to ask about these. I'm very curious about these.

I'm thinking about picking up one of these just for a fun project.

1911 + plastic... :bad:

I would love to pick up an 80% 1911 frame as a project/ challenge, but I dislike plastic guns... I think Ares got their equation wrong. I was pretty jazzed up about this when I saw it on another website, but realized something about the grip didn't seem right. Then I realized it was plastic and that was the end of that.
