View Full Version : D Hammer Spring for a Beretta 92FS
Hello all,
Does someone know where can I buy the genuine spring? I tried Brownell's but they won't ship to Europe as a spring is considered a "gun part" (give me a break!)
Kind regards.
You're welcome!

Thanks aflin and the OP for the thread. I need to try one of those D springs out. Our 92 doesn't get much work lately but before the lad departed on active duty he ran it pretty hard for a couple years. Probably needs some springs.

Thanks. I tried to contact that guy weeks ago but I got no response.

Wow looks promising. I will have a look.
I hope they don't consider a spring a dangerous item.

I bought a D-spring from Olhasso years ago -- good price and prompt service. Not sure what's up with him these days, though.
By far the best upgrade for the 92, although now I have noticeable differences in my performance when qualifying on government M9s because I'm used to the D-spring double action pull on my personal pistol.
Dave is a good seller. I bought a metal mag release from him a few years ago.

The International Trafficking in Arms (ITAR) regulations are extensive and cover many items. So, when a vendor won't ship a spring outside of the US, they are very likely carefully following those laws. The statutes go so far as to prohibit discussing tactics with a non-US resident/citizen without prior governmental approval. While we all know that a gun spring is ridiculous to include in such laws, it is an item they aren't supposed to ship to you.
I've owned and shot three Berettas for several years (Vertec, SD and Centurion). I was able to lighten the trigger pull considerably by using the main spring (hammer spring) for 1911 pistols. A 19 lb 1911 spring will give you a light trigger but positive reliable strikes on the firing pin. The 1911 main spring is easier to locate, cheaper and more readily available than the Beretta D spring.
