I am in the process of looking for an air compressor. Going to be running an impact gun, angle grinder, air ratchets and possibly a HPLV paint gun(although not very often). I am thinking 60 gallon tank and 5hp motor. Not sure about single or 2 stage(not sure of the advantages of a 2 stage over a single). I know all of these are really probably overkill for what I want to do right now, but I want to buy once cry once ya know. Oh and USA made only(which I believe all 3 of these brands are).

Looking at:
Ingersoll Rand 2340L5

Northstar 2 stage:

Quincy 2 stage:

The IR single stage has gotten iffy reviews by a few people, but they were basically trying to use it as a 100% continuous duty at max flow all day and IR says it needs to shut down 5 or 6 times a day and cool down(so a little false advertising by IR on that). Also all of the reviews for both IR models complain about the drain valve being located on the very bottom and being a pain in the ass to get to so most of the reviewers have swapped it out for a different setup routed out the side. The Quincy is the same way, but the Northstar already is routed out the side at the bottom. All of the 2 stages have gotten great reviews. The Quincy warranty is 5 years if you follow their maintenance schedule(change oil and filters once a year with their kit for $60). The IR's and Northstar have a 2 year warranty.

Anybody have any opinions on these?
