I hope Todd.K will chime in here.
My trust has paper work for 5 SBRs in the process. 2 are for factory Noveske complete rifles and 3 are for lower builds and then purchased Noveske uppers.
Here is the odd thing. The Noveske stripped lowers come without any caliber designation on them... which is great, but confusing for SBR engraving.
According to
§ 479.102 How must firearms be identified?
The only MUST have on the lower is the serial # and all other required info can be "on the frame, receiver or barrel".
So, all of this excluding Trust Name, City & ST and caliber are already there and the caliber is on all the barrels supplied by Noveske, then shouldn't I only need to engrave the Trust Name, City & ST on the lower? Or do I need to add the caliber to the lower also?
