I came across a flash hider a few weeks back that was low profile and would allow a .750 gas block to be installed over it, but now I can't find it when I search for it. Anyone have any idea what company makes it, or the model name. Sorry to be so vague, but if I had more info I could've found it.

I believe it was stated to be made by Adams Arms and sold by Huldra Arms (which sells AA stuff under their name). I'm not sure if it's available separate from their uppers, but I would contact those companies to start.

Thanks, that's the one I was thinking of. I guess the fact that its not sold separately is why I didn't bookmark it.

Well I managed to get my hands on a Adams Arms Manimal. I think Huldra arms made some kind of exclusive deal because Adams arms was ready to launch them after they were shown at shot show but now no new info can be found. IF anyone else is interested in this product all I can say is good luck (that's how I got one) as these aren't for sale. I heard of at least one given out as a gift/contest winner, and I'm sure a few Adams arms employees has them but other than that they are all perm attached to 14.5" huldra arms rifles.

I would think some enterprising machine shop could sell their own 0.75" OD flash hider if there were enough demand.

Could you post some photos of yours before it is installed? I'm especially interested in how thick the wall is where it threads on.

Roughly .125" + depth of thread from crown to root.

EDIT: Went and spooked more refined info.

Wall thickness on .750" muzzle device would be .144" (+/- .002" for standard tolerance limits)
.125" actual solid material thickness + .0193" depth of threads involved with the 1/2 x 28 pitch used

I got a reply email from Adams Arms stating that they sent a shipment to riflegear but I haven't seen them show up yet.

Here's a pic of my Rainier Arms match gas block (.005" bigger than normal so it fits match barrels easier) sliding over it easily

that looks awesome. I might have to get one of these on my next 14.5" builds.

Its now available on riflegear, and cheaper than I thought. I thought it would be $70 or more, a premium price since its the only product of its kind available, but it's only $42.

70? Even at 42, that's a lot of money for a minor convenience.

Considering you can get a standard a2 hider for $8, yes its expensive, but if you consider the price of other hiders $40-120 then it seems to be a great price. For some people its not a minor convenience, without this I couldn't build a 14.5" without a tax stamp due to the way I have to build my upper.
