Got it with steel sights and paid $450 including tax with 3 magazines. Put 350 rounds through it with no problems, mix of 147 AE flat point and 147 grain Ranger JHP. Feels less snappy than previous G19's I've had , not that any G19 is real snappy this just felt softer shooting. Shot it straight out of the box, great little 16 round carry gun.

Congratulations! Good buy at that price - where did you get it? New or used?

Glock 19's, of whatever generation, are just excellent functional weapons.they just work and require minimal upkeep.

Get back to us after a coupla thousand rounds; that's usually when the problems start appearing with Gen4 9mms.

This

Come back after the honeymoon period

It only took 1030 rounds before I regularly started getting pelted in the face with ejected brass. Other than this, functionality is fine (I did however have 2 stovepipes with WWB more than 700 rounds ago).

So... Gen 4 Glocks are STILL a problem child?

My gen 4 19 has been a great shooter and reliable except that Every couple mags I catch one brass case to the top of my head or forehead

Problems after a couple thousand rounds from the springs weakening or parts wearing?

I wonder if you can prevent this by swapping out the extractor and its spring assembly.

I've been itching to get a gen4 19 for a while now.

What ejector, extractor, RSA, and majority of ammo type used?

Thats a good price, im assuming used since dealer cost on gen 4s are $475 ish.

Its not just the 9's, I cant go a mag without having brass ricochet off my forehead with my 23... I am still baffled why glock cant figure this out.

I been thinking the same and wondering if it's not the spring on the extractor depressor plunger spring?

Good buy, my Gen4 17 and 26 haven't had any of the Gen4 "problems". I've come to prefer the Gen4 to the Gen3.

My month old Gen 4 G19 has the erratic ejection problems which I thought was going to be solved yesterday with Apex Tactical's prototype extractor and spring, unfortunately we had a miserably hot day of filming and the extractor was making the striker block stick. Even with the sticking striker block, it ejected more consistent overall.

23 Gen 4? How many rounds through it? Test fire date?

So after speaking with Scott, I'm sending the extractor back for them to diagnose. Hopefully that particular one is just slightly out of spec and they do not need my slide.

On a good note, I'm the only one who's actually had a problem so far.

It sounds like he used the military/leo discount. Last i checked they were going for right about that price, unless it changed recently.

11/11/11 supposed to be lucky right? Ive put almost 750 rounds with different ammo and the new unmarked ejector to no avail.

Sucks man. Mine was test fired 12/12. I've got 1250 through it. I've had one stovepipe and a couple failures to extract. They've all happened while my girlfriend was shooting though.

The problems with the .40s seem to be much more random and less common.

I havent had any feed/ejection problems besides it being erratic. What is interesting is the girl who bought the sn# right before mine has had zero problems with similar round count. Im just 'lucky' i suppose...

Funny thing. I got one of my gen3 glocks on 10-10-2010 and of course it's a G20 in 10mm. :p

Haven't given me any problems yet, but I have not shot it any where near as much as the 9mm's.

I'm at 2,200 rounds right now. No issues yet, and keeping my fingers crossed.

First GEN4 G19 went 2000 rounds before problems. Second replacement went 800 before problems. Final solution? M&P9C and PPQ. 2200 trouble free rounds through the M&P (none of the accuracy problems). 3700 throught the PPQ. I simply got tired of the time money and frustration of the whole current G19 thing.

Yes it is a Blue tag gun (discount) and the serial prefix is TEN Mfg. in early June 2012...I ran another bunch of rounds through (about 7 or 8 boxes of strictly AE 147 grain). Gun ran 100% and was decent accuracy wise 3-4" groups at 25 yards standing off hand and shot it for grouping at 50 yards also and it pretty much was double 6.5"- 8" groups kneeling rest. I do recall only one piece of brass come out a little low but it didn't hit me and it was still to the right of my dome.

I'll keep shooting it and reporting on how it does...not a huge glock fan , the only good one I've had and really liked is a G35 that's about 8 years old. The 22's we have at work have had more than a few cracked locking block pins and G's LE Cust. Svc. is becoming less than stellar over the last few years. I still am toting a M&P 45 at work with an Apex Tact. trigger kit
