Has anyone tried this light?

http://www.511tactical.com/All-Products/Flashlights/ATAC-PLx-Flashlight.html?

I picked one up a few days ago. It disappears into my pocket and seems to work pretty well with either the Harries or Rogers techniques, but I hear some folks blasting 5.11 for quality, etc.

Thanks in advance.

Because with 5.11, there are usually better options for a tad more $.

Have you ever considered the Preon 2 as a pocket pen light?:

Can be had here for $40, don't mind the negative reviewer, I and many who own this light have had years of reliable usage:

But if the 5.11 light you have works for you, it works for you. Some of the edges on it looks pretty pointy and sharp, does it tear up your pockets? Thought the end was a glass breaker at first, that would have been cool.

Thanks for the response. The Preon looks slick. I get the impression that the reviewer tossed it into his bag where it got beat around, and then got all butt-hurt when his failure to care for his gear came back to haunt him. But maybe I'm reading it wrong...

I've only had the 5.11 for a few weeks. The pointier parts of it are more rounded than the rail corners on my DD M-4, so it has been gentle on pockets and skin thus far. The bezel is not a true strike bezel, but its edge could certainly install a righteous buttonhole in someone's forehead if you decided that was in order. Not sure about breaking glass, though.

I took it out shooting last night. It worked fine in the Harries, but the bore diameter is a bit small for the Rogers. I like that it's not so bright that it destroys my night vision.

I have the L2....it is my general purpose nightstand and carry around light. No issues, however it doesn't see hard use with me.
