Howdy all. I have a LMT 10.5" upper and wanted to try the RIBZ for my first outing. I screwed up and now have the lower part of the ring all the way down and the upper ring at 6/3, allen screw tightened down.
How do I get to "Absolute zero" from here? In other words, set the sight as it would come from the factory.
TIA, Ray

6/3 should be the bottom.
I just did the RIBZ, and I'm pretty sure I couldn't turn the bottom ring counter clockwise with the allen screw loosened.
This was before I turned it clockwise according to the RIBZ directions.

ETA: I should revise what I said. It does not go fully 1 click from the bottom when I started from 6/3.

6/3 should not be the bottom.
You need to be able to go at minimum 1/2 more click lower, better even 1 full click to 1 1/2 clicks. Beyond that is excessive and un-neccisary unless working with one of the non-standard zeroing techniques.

If 6/3 is the absolute bottom that means the sight is bound and won't float rotationally like it should giving inconsistant performance depending on things like getting bumped or acumulating junk in spots it wouldn't normally collect in.
