M&p duracoat issue

I recently had my m&p duracoated. I had to sand some of the paint of the inside of the receiver to get some parts to fit. I fit everything in with the exception of the sear housing block with the frame key plug. The sear housing block will fit without it, but the plug tilts when I put sear housing block in. Anyone have any experience with this? The plug appears to be flush and fully seated before I put the housing block in. Thanks

yes, I've had problems with that plug before. it's not limited to duracoated pistols.

check that the edges of the plug are not buggered and if they are, gently sand or file them to a nice bevel. that fixed mine...

I checked that, I also tried a new plug and same issue. Is the plug necessary? With the apex RAM it blocks debris from coming in.

I've had trouble with that plug while reassembling my M&P.
