Hello all,

I was zero'ing the Leupold Mark 6 3-18x on my OBR 7.62 today, and it BOTTOMED OUT. It was at 100 meters, and I was still 1.9 mils too high...

I am using the Larue LT-111 mount.

Any advice is much appreciated!

Pardon my ignorance, but isn't 100m a fairly short zero for a 7.62 with an 18x optic that sits on a 20MOA canted base?

"two-turn (2) zero stop elevation dial with a tactile revolution indicator, providing 20 mils of travel (10 mils per revolution) while eliminating under- or over-rotation of the dial"

does this mean that the optic only has 20 mils of travel total, or if I reset something, I will change the range of this 20 mil travel?

the instructions that came with the optic are generic and confusing to me.

Are you sure your scope is mounted correctly?

According to the description of your setup, a 100yd zero should be perfectly capable.

I realized it was a rotational stop on the mk 6 that was limiting me. I reset it by loosening a hex screw, but now i don't have a full 20 mils of adjustment...

I'm sure I must have done something wrong. Thanks for trying to help.

How much adjustment do you now have? Since you can reach 1kYds with around 11 mils of travel, with most 308 win ammo, just how much do you need over that??

20 mils revolution means 10 up and 10 down from dead center - just in case you were thinking it was 20 each way. With the 20 MOA rail (and in a perfect world) you should have in the ballpark of 14 to 15 mils up available after zeroing at 100.
